Introducing Signed At The Table: A Deaf-Led Podcast

This Deaf Awareness Month, and as we mark the International Week of Deaf People, we are celebrating in the best way we know how: by introducing Signed At The Table.

Why Signed?

Because sign language is our language. It is how we think, speak and lead. On this show, every conversation happens in our language first — not translated as an afterthought, but signed from the start.

Why At the Table?

Because Deaf people belong where decisions are made, from the very beginning. Not a token seat, but a real voice. Nothing about us without us.

Deaf Voices at the Centre

Our goal is simple: to put Deaf voices at the centre of the conversation. We are here to help Deaf people know and claim their rights, to show the wider community how stigma shuts persons with disabilities out, and to talk about the issues that shape Deaf lives today — led by Deaf people in their own language.

We are also here to ask hard questions. Government, service providers, employers, the media and development partners all have a duty to make inclusion real. Signed At The Table will hold each of them accountable for keeping that promise.

This is a first of its kind — and it is only the beginning.

In our hands. In our words.
