TISEZA Sponsors Handcrafted Bags by Deaf Artisans
On August 19, 2026, during a press conference, the Director General of the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), Mr. Gilead Teri, extended his support to our Deaf artisans at the Ella Workshop by sponsoring the production of handcrafted bags that will serve as promotional items for investors visiting Tanzania.
This sponsorship, extended as part of TISEZA's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sends a powerful message: Tanzania is a country where marginalized groups, including the Deaf community, are not merely beneficiaries — they are active contributors to national development.
Thank you so much TISEZA. We are proud to be associated with you, and honoured that our logo will be among the first things investors see when they arrive in the country.
An Investment in Inclusive Growth
This generous sponsorship goes beyond giving. It is an investment in inclusive economic growth, the empowerment of local communities, and the creation of sustainable livelihoods. Through this sponsorship, 10 Deaf artisans will benefit directly, while the remaining proceeds will go toward furthering our inclusion mission — ensuring that Deaf people participate actively in their communities and in national development at large.
This partnership works in line with Tanzania Development Vision 2050, ensuring that no one is left behind.
